You’ve probably heard that dark circles are caused by lack of sleep, genetics, or allergies.
However, there’s another cause that could be the REAL reason behind your dark circles. And best of all, unlike sleep and genetics, this has a simple solution.
So what is it?
Eye strain. Yes, eye strain. And here’s why it causes dark circles...
When your eyes are strained, it makes the blood vessels around your eyes dilate.
And those dilated blood vessels can create dark circles under your eyes. (They can also make your eyes look tired, even if you got a full night’s sleep!)
The good news is, there’s a simple solution...
First, if you’re at the computer a lot, make sure you give your eyes a break from the screen. The easiest way to do that is to follow the 20/20/20 rule: Every 20 minutes, look at something 20 feet away for 20 seconds.
The other thing to think about is your glasses. Don’t wear them? You may need to! So get your eyesight tested if you haven’t done so recently.
And if you do wear glasses, make sure you’re getting your eyes tested regularly, which is every 1-4 years, depending on your doctor’s recommendation.
Okay, so try these tips out, and let me know if you see brighter, younger-looking eyes!
