Researchers analyzed phthalate concentration in the urine of 2,350 women who participated in the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey. They controlled the sample for socio-demographic, dietary, and behavioral factors, and sure enough, the higher the concentration of phthalates, the more likely the woman was to have diabetes.

Researchers found a way to reduce actinic keratosis lesions on the face by 88% (compared to just 26% in the control group), scalp lesions by 76% (compared to just 6%), right arm lesions by 69% (versus 10%), and left arm lesions by 79% (versus 16%).

Researchers examined wound healing in mice, comparing the process in mice that were two months old versus 24 month olds. Mice of these ages mimic the experiences of a 20-year-old and a 70-year-old human, respectively. According to their research, skin cells have to work together with immune cells to close up a wound. However, as the mice age, the communication process between the two types of cells begins to break down, making the whole process take longer.
